Recipe Tips

  • Pomegranate Seeds

Look for pomegranate arils, also known as pomegranate arils, next to the cut-up fresh fruit and prepared salads in the refrigerated produce section of your supermarket. Or, you can purchase a fresh pomegranate and remove the seeds yourself. Roll the fruit to loosen the seeds, then cut the pomegranate crosswise in half. Hold one pomegranate half, cut side down, over a bowl, then use a wooden spoon to tap the skin while gently squeezing the fruit to release the seeds. Repeat with the remaining pomegranate half. One medium pomegranate should yield about 1 cup seeds.
