Recipe Tips

Special ExtraAfter spreading cookies with the melted chocolate, sprinkle them lightly with black- or purple-colored sugar before decorating with the pretzel pieces and candy eyes.
SubstituteSubstitute chocolate chips for the candy eyeballs.
Special ExtraFor extra flavor, split the cookies in half, leaving creme filling on one half of each cookie. Spread each plain cookie half with 3/4 tsp. apple butter, hazelnut spread or cinnamon spread. Reassemble cookies, then use to prepare recipe as directed.
