Makes 21 servings, 3 topped cookies each.

Ingredient list

  • 1 pkg. (25.3 oz.) CHIPS AHOY! Cookies (66 cookies), divided
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, divided
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • 3 cups coarsely chopped baking apples (about 3 large apples)
  • ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • ½ cup thawed frozen whipped topping

Directions

Heat oven to 350°F.

Chop 3 cookies; place in small bowl.  Melt 1 Tbsp. butter. Add to chopped cookies along with the nuts; mix lightly. Set aside.

Melt remaining butter in large skillet on medium heat.  Add apples and cinnamon; stir.  Cook 2 to 3 min. or until apples are crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Remove skillet from heat.

Stir syrup into apple mixture; spoon into small casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray.  Top with cookie mixture.

Bake 10 to 12 min. or until apples are tender and cookie topping is lightly browned.  Cool slightly.

Serve remaining cookies topped with whipped topping and apple mixture, adding about 1 tsp. whipped topping and 2 Tbsp. apple mixture to each cookie.
