Favorite flavors of fall come together in this quick 10 minute party appetizer. Crisp apples, crunchy nuts and maple syrup all flavor this cream cheese spread.

Makes 14 servings, 2 Tbsp. spread, 6 crackers and about 2 apple slices each.
Cut apples into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Chop enough of the apple slices to measure 2/3 cup; toss with the nuts. Reserve remaining apple slices for later use.
Place brick of Neufchatel cheese on serving plate; top with apple mixture.
Drizzle with syrup.
Serve with crackers and reserved apple slices.
Toss the chopped apples with 1 to 2 tsp. lemon juice before tossing them with the pecans. Then, brush the apple slices lightly with additional lemon juice before placing them on the serving plate.
Prepare recipe as directed, substituting green and red Anjou pears for the apples, chopped toasted walnuts for the pecans, and hot honey for the syrup.
