Arrange 18 cookies in football shape on large platter or tray.
Beat Neufchatel, sugar and cocoa powder in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Gently stir in 2 cups of the whipped topping. Spoon over cookies on platter.
Top with remaining cookies.
Arrange strawberries around edge of football as shown in photo.
Spoon remaining whipped topping into small resealable plastic bag. Cut small piece from one corner of bag. Use to pipe whipped topping onto top of dessert to resemble the laces on a football.
Refrigerate 2 hours.
The 2-hour refrigeration time allows the cookies to soften to a cakelike texture.
Instead of spooning the Neufchatel mixture over the cookies on the platter, you can instead spoon into a piping bag fitted with a decorative tip and use that to pipe the mixture onto the cookies.
